The benefits of meditation are widely known! The trend towards using meditation as a way to not only combat the effects of stress on our brains and bodies, but also to change our behavior is quite profound! The problem is for me is this next part:
You have to meditate consistently for 10-20 minutes per day for months to start to see the benefits. Also, when you meditate, you really need to achieve the mental discipline to return to present and to your breath time and time again when your mind wanders. It requires conscious effort.
For me, I'm all about the most efficient and effective approach. Plus, honestly, I don't know if I'm disciplined enough to stick with that routine.
